Newcastle Airport achieves top marks for punctuality

Posted on July 13th, 2009

Great news for those travelling from Newcastle Airport, the North East’s largest airport. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) which monitors punctuality has confirmed that Newcastle Airport out performs the national average for punctuality with 82 percent of flights departing on time in the first quarter of this year.

This is a great achievement for the airport and Dave Laws, chief executive of Newcastle International said: “This is excellent news for the airport, its airline partners and, of course, its passengers.  It is testament to the considerable efforts and team-working of colleagues across the business that we are continuing to outperform our competitors in respect of the punctuality of our flights.”

So for those travelling from Newcastle Airport they should enjoy a smooth journey and arrive at their destination on time. With the great airport parking facilities, Newcastle Airport is the place to fly from in the North East.
