Many bird watchers turned up at a quarry to spot the first ever sighting in Britain of the eastern crowned warbler which usually lives in south east Asia. There has even been a specially chartered flight from the Isles of Scilly to Newcastle Airport bringing an excited group of twitchers hoping to catch a glimpse of this rare sighting.
