Posted on March 19th, 2010
The strike by British Airways will affect flights from Newcastle Airport. The daily flights between Heathrow and Newcastle will change from 6 daily flights to just 1 between 20th and 22nd March. The only flight that will remain will be BA1321 which departs at 06:20 GMT on Saturday 20th March.
Passengers booked on other flights are being advised to check alternative arrangements with FlyBe and Easyjet. These airlines offer services between Newcastle Airport and Gatwick and Stanstead and the chief executive of Newcastle Airport, Dave Laws advised “Both Gatwick and Stanstead airports offer efficient transport links to Heathrow for those customers who have onward flights to connect with.”
